Send an email to privacy (at) lastpass (dot) com. I've figured a way to get your billing details deleted. If you haven't deleted your account yet, I've heard of some people still being charged for a renewal despite cancelling premium or even deleting their account, though I don't know if this is true. Anything else recommended to combat and mitigate the risks caused by the breach?.Deleting the account will stop any payment being taken, it looks complicated to try and remove your card details and keep an LP account. I doubt there will be any part refunds and I don’t want to reply in any way on LP anymore, free or otherwise. I think my plan is then to delete the LP account entirely and do so before renewal and Premium payment is due.I’d prefer to have zero data in LP at the end of this transfer. I’m then deleting passwords and log in’s individually from LP.For several it’s easier to just use ‘Forgotten Password’ links when logging in. It’s an easy enough but laborious process. I’m gradually working through the password list on BW and changing them all and deleting a few old accounts too.Exporting from LastPass to Bitwarden (BW) worked well, the new provider had a handy guide for that to follow. It looks simple enough to use, seems secure and their free offering looks decent and works on multiple devices. As a start point I've change my LP master password, but that may not be enough. And that’s why I am leaving.īut perhaps the community could share any best practice on leaving LP and moving elsewhere. I am extremely annoyed by their response to it and lack of answers to questions on here. I can understand a data breach might happen. But even if I was they are pretty rare on most threads related to the hacking event. I’m probably not expecting an official LastPass response here.
